Naturally dyed Easter eggs and Raya eating!

We've been starting to give Raya some tastes of solid foods. She's tried egg yolk, carrots and sweet potatoes. Yesterday she liked the sweet potatoes so much I think she got a sore belly from being too stuffed~!
We colored eggs this year with natural dyes--we made them from blueberries, beets, tumeric, and spirulina (bluegreen algae) They turned out pretty neato.

Raya's first Garden

Cloth diapers drying in the sun! It's amazing how well the sun bleaches stains out and disinfects. Far superior to bleach if you ask me :) You can see our wild blackberry patch in front of this picture--there are so many flowers on them right now...can't wait to eat them.
We have 2 small apple trees that are producing fruit...they haven't really done that before, but Anthony has been giving them love this year. (aka compost, water, fertilizer, and songs)
and blueberries--there are SO many little blueberries starting to grow on our bushes..also thanks to extra love.

Here's a glimpse of our raised bed garden that is doing so well--Raya and I talk to and pet the plants every morning, and make sure it's watered. We have cucumbers, peppers, cilantro, parsley, yellow squash, zuchinni, sweet potatoes, eggplant, cantelope, spinach, beets and tomatoes! We harvested our first zuchinni and it was beautiful!
